I'm a freelance editor specializing in fiction, and I've spent years doing the thing I genuinely can't stop doing: reading deeply, thinking carefully about sentences, and helping authors make their stories as good as they can possibly be.
If you found me through TikTok, hi neighbor. If you found me through a search engine, welcome—you landed somewhere good.
I completed the Copyediting Certificate Program at University of San Diego Extension and trained with Phon Baillie at Edit Republic—all of her courses, because once I started I couldn't stop.Â
I've edited 50+ books across romance, fantasy, romantasy, sci-fi, and YA. This isn't a side hustle or a phase. It's my profession and I take it seriously.
I edit with care and I communicate like a human being. You'll never wonder where things stand, feel judged for your draft, or get your manuscript back full of changes that don't sound like you.
My job is to refine your voice—not replace it. Clarity without erasing tone. Precision without flattening personality. Your story stays yours, just more intentional and more effective.
When I'm not elbow-deep in someone's manuscript, I'm probably reading (obviously), working on a diamond painting of a book cover, or making TikToks about the craft I love. My husband is wonderful and very supportive of my book opinions.Â
And then there's Hela—my red heeler-bulldog mix with ocean blue eyes and the attitude of someone who absolutely knows she runs this household.Â
She does not edit.Â
She supervises.
